About me:  My name is Wendale Shane Comer.  I was born in 1972 in the small town of Newport, Arkansas.  I have always been into electronics and technology.  I used to work on CB radios as a kid peaking and tuning radios for Truck Drivers.  I would also run a low-wattage pirate radio station that could broadcast about a couple of blocks.  When I grew up I started tearing apart old PCs to see what made them tick.  I learned a lot on my own and eventually went to college and earned my BS of Science in Technology degree.   I have worked in IT for over 20 years all together.  I am always trying to learn new things and read up to study trends.  I also find Artificial Intelligence amazing but dangerous. I only think we have scraped the surface.  I think as we grow in knowledge we will use it for good but we have to safeguard.

Skills and Abilities:  I am a CompTIA A+ Certified technician.  I have worked on all brands of computers but primarily Dell OptiPlex and Dell Latitudes.  I have learned a lot about networking and security working in the field.  I worked with Cisco, Enterasys, and Extreme switches and APs.  I also worked with some Cisco ASA Firewalls.  I do website building and maintenance for schools, churches, businesses, and individuals.  I also am a communications director doing call-outs for the school and managing SMS, Social Media, and District website...  I have also run Cisco IP phones using Call Manager for local communication. I have also trained and worked with teachers, pastors, and individuals on IT needs and solutions.

Education and Certifications:  I graduated from Newport Special School District with my diploma in 1990.  I went on to college and finished a two-year program with my Electronics Technology certification from ASU Beebe Newport.  I went back to ASU Newport from 2002 to 2003 and graduated with my Associate of Applied Science in Computer Systems Technology under my instructor Mr. Jeff Bookout.  I went from there in 2005 to 2007 and received my Bachelor of Science in Technology under my advisor Dr./Rev Charles Coleman.  I have done many trainings through the school and Coop to learn new technologies as well as attending yearly Technology conferences in Little Rock, The Arkansas Conference of Technology, and in Hot Springs, Hot Springs Technology Institute.  I am always open to learning more and continuing my education.

Accomplishments:  I have successfully managed the Brinkley Public Schools IT network for nearly 17 years.  I co/managed Bald Knob Public Schools IT Network for 3.5 years.  I have built multiple websites for schools, churches, businesses, and individuals.  I was made an intern and hired by ASU Newport after graduating in 2003 to design and build their former website that stayed up and ran for years after I finished my degree.  I have built a lot of great relations with IT companies over the years including CDW-G, Dell, IK Electric, Allied Technology Group, White River Services, etc.
